Apply to be a FCC Partner

We're seeking licensed family child care providers interested in providing Early Head Start/Head Start services to children and families. As a partner with PSESD, you receive support and funding to provide comprehensive services at your family child care home.

What we offer:

  • Family Educator to support and work with families
  • STARS trainings and assistance with training fees
  • Support upgrades to materials

Plus build a professional network with other family child care providers for support and encouragement!

Requirements:

  • Have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or WA State Initial Certifcate or an AA degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Enroll 3 or more eligible children 
  • Offer a non-religious program
  • Incorporate Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards and Requirements
  • Participate in USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

Application Process: Our application process can take up to 6 months before a program is accepted as a partner. 

  • Submit completed application with supporting documents. 
  • Application and supporting documents are reviewed by our team. We utilize available information in Child Care Check. 
  • Program tour is scheduled to see your space, meet you and your staff
  • Virtual meeting with members of our leadership team 
  • Formal Site visit with safety checklist is completed. 
  • Approvals from leadership team, Policy Council and PSESD Board 
  • Creating contract and signing 
  • 90 day onboarding process
